About Anaid

As a self-taught painter from Bogotá, Colombia, I have dedicated my life to art, expressing my passion through various forms of creative expression. Since 2015, I have participated in numerous art fairs and markets, even having the privilege to exhibit a painting at the renowned NAVAS Y NAVAS Gallery in Bogotá.

Another notable milestone in my artistic journey was the time I spent teaching private classes for groups, sharing my knowledge of various techniques and materials including acrylic and ink painting, as well as transfer techniques on canvas and wood. During this period (2016-2017), I introduced my students to the world of art, nurturing their creativity and self-expression.

A pinnacle of my career was the founding of my own restaurant with an attached gallery, ANAID, which existed from 2016 to 2019 in Bogotá. There, I not only created a space for culinary delights but also provided a platform for emerging artists to showcase their work. With a focus on painting, sculpture, music, poetry, theater, and illustration, ANAID offered a place of inspiration and creative exchange for the community.

As an artist, my focus is on capturing emotion in my works and portraying women as independent creators of their reality. My paintings and artworks deliberately break with conventional norms and taboos through explicit representations, telling hidden stories of life battles triumphantly won. They reflect the result of self-made experiences and demonstrate the ability to reinvent oneself with strength, determination, and conviction to overcome obstacles along the way.
